About this equipment

Built for the Enterprise de Travaux D'Extension du Port du Havre, France
GRT / NRT 635
Whilst under tow of United Towing's tug NORMAN on delivery voyage to Le Havre on 18 April 1931, they encountered a severe storm some 15 miles SE of Flamborough Head
The tow wire parted and CYCLOPE was presumed foundered as nothing was seen of her again.
Following the loss of the CYCLOPE a replacement dredger was ordered called DRAGON
