About this equipment

The original OHIO was a wooden hulled ship, built in 1873 by Allen & Blaisdell, St. Louis, Missouri.
In 1880 the wooden hull was replaced by a steel hull by the same yard, re-using much of the equipment.
In 1896 the American Dredge Co.engine was remodelled and fitted with Bucyrus clutches etc.

In 1906 lengthened from 28.04 m to 36.14 m

About 1933 possibly retired
