About this equipment

One of three identical dredgers built by Bucyrus.(the others were Cascadas and Paraiso).
They were delivered in 1915 and 1914 respectively for the USACE for the Panama Canal (Isthmian Canal Commission) and were ordered after a visit to the works of president Roosevelt in 1906.
Cranes were installed on the pontoons at the Bucyrus Yard.
