About this equipment

Sidecasting dredger.
Displacement 240 tons.
1943 - Built as a Seaplane Wrecking Derrick YSD-64, and assigned to Pearl Harbor.
1968 - Converted to a dredger and named SANDMASTER.
1971 - (25 Febr) Mined on Cua Viet River, Vietnam (7 crew killed).
1972 - Removed from the register.
1973 - Salvaged and sold for scrap.
