Under the Taiwan International Ports Establishment Act, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications merged the port operations of Keelung Harbor Bureau, Taichung Harbor Bureau, Kaohsiung Harbor Bureau and Hualien Harbor Bureau, to form the Taiwan International Ports CorporationTaiwan Ltd. (TIPC).It is a state-owned enterprise affiliated with the Ministry of Transportation and Communication, which, in collaboration with government reorganizations, established TIPC on March 1st, 2012.
The Bureau is dedicated to maritime and port administration, and TIPC focuses on port business operations as well as the integration of domestic and international commercial port resources.
