Mobius Dredging Service & Consulting GmbH was founded in mid-2017.
The aim of the company is the construction of new and customer-specific hydraulic excavators, as well as their modification and maintenance. Based on customer requirements and international standards, we develop stilt excavators and offer the corresponding service internationally.
In 2019 the company was renamed German Dredger Services GmbH (GDS GmbH). In order to further improve our customer service, the company was expanded in 2021 to include a trading segment in the construction machinery sector. Spare parts trade, construction machinery trade as well as drilling and piling technology are currently the focal points in the trade area.
GDS GmbH is an authorized service partner of Komatsu Germany GmbH - Mining Division and as such active worldwide. In addition, there are successful partnerships with IAB Group GmbH and Dredger & Pumps GmbH.
A particularly close cooperation exists with Mobius Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH (formerly Josef Mobius Bau AG), which is active in the field of engineering services. Important projects such as the construction of the hopper dredgers "Eke Mobius" and "Werner Mobius" have been carried out in the past.
Carsten Schmidt, Managing Director of GDS GmbH, was responsible for the planning and project management of these excavators.
