Smogens Plat & Svetsinustri

Smogens Plat- & Vetsindustri was founded in 1944 under the name Smogens Bleck- & Platslageri. In 1947, the business was moved to Tegelholmen in Smogen. The yard supplied heavier sheet metal work, mainly conversions and repairs of boats.

The company delivered its first new build in 1957, a car ferry that operated between Smogen and Kungshamn until the Smogen bridge began operating in 1979. The company was bought in 2005 by Smogenbryggan AB and the companies later merged. Shipyard operations were shut down.
