Original built as an offshore supply vessel "EDDA FRIGG" at the Vard Tulsa yard in Romania (yard nr. 283). She was converted into a grab dredger in 2022 at the Brattvag shipyard in Norway, under yard number 85
Heimdal R is transfered into a powerful offshore grab dredger, rock installation- and multipurpose vessel. Equipped with a large Liebherr HS 895 HD heave-compensated crane, monitored with RESON PDS2000, Heimdal R is capable of performing a variety of projects related to trench dredging and backfilling, boulder removal, rock installation, mattress installation, PLGR and other offshore activities. Heimdal R operates with a multitude of grabs.
