The dredger was orderd by Howden Brothers for some dredging works in the port of Larne.
On 14 August 1919 the contract with the yard was signed, but soon both partiers had a dissagreement about the payments. After a solution was found and agreed, the yard was unable to complete the works on the dredger. After numerous courtcases and legal correspondence, Howden no longer wished to continue the cooperation with the yard. The agrrement was terminated in December 1920. The dredger was nevertheless finished, and sold to the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company, and renamed “ROSSALL”. She was commisioned on 2 May 1921.
In 1964 she was sold to Pounds Shipowners & Shipbreakers Ltd., Portsmouth. Unknown if she was used as adredger or just laid up. In 1976 she was renamed 'Kurzon' and sold to Chekoslovac for breaking up.
