About this company

General information

The company served the colonial regime in Indochine, in those days a French colonie, and worked mainly in Vietnam, Cambodja (later also in Haiti).
In 1902 the company was awarded an 8-year contract for dredging works in Vietnam, and was renamed 'Societe Francaise Industrielle d'Extreme Orient', and the headoffice moved to Paris. After this contract expired the company was renamed 'Societe Francaise d'Entreprise de Dragage et Travaux Publics'  (S.F.E.D.T.P.)' in 1910.
In 1970 SFEDTP was absorbed by 'L'Entreprisede Grands Travaux' and 'RegieGenerale de Chemin de Fer et de Travaux Publics'
