General information

In 1962 F. Bowles & Sons and Bristol Sand & Gravel joined forces and a new company: British Dredging Co. Ltd.
In the 70's British Dredging, after some take-overs, operated a fleet of 13 dredgers, and was then the largest company of its type in the whole of Europe. In 1990 British Dredging and RMC entered into a joined ownership agreement to operate in the Bristol Channel as British Dredging Aggregates,
The compaqny resorganised in 1983, and 2000. the company operates now under the name of RMC Bristol Channel.
In 2024 the company moved Headquarters from Dorking (Surrey) to Birmingham
