The result of the consolidation of several sand dredger owners which were successively incorporated into the Roullier Group, the Compagnie Armoricaine de Navigation (CAN) was set up in early 1993.
Initially responsible for supplying the Roullier Group's factories and port depots with marine calcium amendments, the CAN's business has gradually extended to include the extraction, shipping and unloading of siliceous materials from proprietary and third-party deposits.
The Compagnie Armoricaine de Navigation owns and operates two sand dredgers 24 hours a day, 350 days a year, with a total crew of 25.
