Previous successful projects by UMA (now fully acquired by Tarmac) include supplying material to some of the major construction projects in the south of England and South Wales and coastline protection schemes.
In 2008, United Marine Holdings (UMH), the company which included United Marine Aggregates (UMA) and United Marine Dredging (UMD) became wholly owned by Tarmac Limited. UMA was integrated into the Tarmac business during 2008 and as from 1st January 2010 UMD will change it's name to Tarmac Marine Dredging Limited, completing the transition.
