Hamina

Port of Hamina Ltd., established in 2001, is the port authority for the Port of Hamina. The share capital is owned entirely by the town of Hamina. Port of Hamina Ltd., for its part, owns the stevedoring enterprise HMT Ltd  and the business operations of Hamina Port Terminals Oy and Oy Haminan Satamahuoltola. At a meeting on November 8th, the City Councils of Kotka and Hamina endorsed the merger of the port companies of Kotka and Hamina. The new HaminaKotka Satama Oy Port will reportedly start operating on May 1, 2011, Port of Kotka press release said.
