About this company

General information

The Fort Peck shipbuilding facilities were erected in 1930 for building the vessels that were needed for the construction of the Fort Peck Dam (1933 - 1940). The yard was managed and operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The vessels that were built here, were also on the plant list of the USACE. By then the Fiort Peck Dam was the largest man made dam in the world.
