About this company

General information

Van Der Grijp is a major supplier of pipelines to the dredging industry. (See under 'SUPPLIERS', Van der Grijp)
Originally it was a shipyard, founded in 1928 in Sliedrecht. Specialised in houseboats and barges.
After WWII it specialised for some time in raising and restoring ships damaged in WWII. In addition (apparently) new construction. In 1952, the company moved to the Rietlanden in the far east of Sliedrecht.
In 1970, the company moved again, this time to Papendracht, where it is still located today. Shipbuilding is being phased out, the company is now specialized in tubes.
