About this equipment

Original built as cargo vessel Jooy Marie in 1920. Converted to a TSHD in 1930, grt reduced from 366 to 363, and nrt from 147 to 133. As well as being discharged by shore grab, the Sandholm was the first aggregate dredger to have a hydraulic discharge capability allowing the saturated sand to be pumped ashore.
