The 30,000m3 dredger was commissioned by CCCC Tianjin Waterway Engineering Bureau, designed by the 708th Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, and built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Qidong Offshore Engineering. It is the largest self-propelled hopper dredger in Asia, featuring immense capacity, powerful dredging capabilities, and advanced technologies for green, efficient, and intelligent operation.
With hopper capacity of 38,168m3 and a maximum dredging depth of 120 meters, the vessel supports various dredging and discharging modes, including single/double draghead dredging, twin-door unloading, bow jetting, and shore discharge. Equipped with an intelligent dredging control system and reserved for methanol fuel use, it is suitable for complex projects such as deep-sea trench construction and large-scale sand backfilling. The ship fills a major gap in China's dredging fleet and significantly enhances the country's competitiveness in the global high-end dredging market.
Construction began on January 19, 2024, and the hull was completed on June 4, 2025.
