About this equipment
DBB Obelix was built in 1980 as BHD GRETE HOJ, and is completely renovated and rebuilt in 2023/24, the rebuilding was done at the Soby Vaerft with a particular focus on increasing efficiency, safety and the working environment on board. The rebuilt therefore includes conversion of the cargo hold, spuds, accommodation, wheelhouse, excavator, and auxiliary machinery.
DBB Obelix is equipped with bottom doors, strong spuds and electronic dredging equipment.
Dredging depth -15 meter with the possibility to extend

Dredging capacity up to 600 cbm/hour
3 spuds 22 meters long for positioning on 18 meters of water
DBB Obelix is ready for work in spring 2024.
