The design of this vessel was developed in conjunction with Holland MT, an engineering and supply company serving international dredging contractors.
On March 24th 2011, STX France Lorient yard has floated out the St Pierre trailing suction hopper dredger ordered in July 2010 by STFMO, subsidiary of Sablieres de l'Atlantique. Following her keel laying held last September 2011, this floating out is another important milestone in the contract, before her delivery in summer 2012.
