General information

Chantiers de l'Atlantique is part of the South Korean STX Shipbuilding Group and one of the world's largest shipyards, based in Saint-Nazaire,  France. It was created in 1861 by Compagnie Générale Transatlantique. Since 1984 the company has been owned by Alstom. In 2006 it became a subsidiary of STX Europe.
