About this equipment

Build as TAURUS for "Havenmond Hoek van Holland (CH3)" 4 Ships were built, the NORMA, LIBRA en 2 identical side-stone dumpers the CETUS and the TAURUS.
As well the CETUS as thesaurus became owned by ZINKCON BV, a subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster Group NV.
End 1991 the TAURUS was upgraded from stone dumper to Multi Purpose Offshore Vessel.
A new Dynamic Positioning System from Kongsberg was installed as well as a new accommodation module was installed giving a capacity of 77 Man.
The TAURUS was sold in 1997 by Boskalis Zinkcon BV to  SeateamDen Helder. At that time it was at the Carena Yard in Abidjan. After changing from owner to owner, 2 years ago on advice from Mobil, which still remembered the excellent performance of the vessel and the rising oil price, Mare Trading B.V. and thanks to the good contacts with Mobil made it possible once more to upgrade this 40 year old ship to the offshore standards. It took 18 months and a lot of good efforts.
The Ship is now owned by Project Masters International Ltd, and Managed by Mare Trading B.V. and left Rotterdam on the 16th of December 2008 under the name PM SALEM for a 3-year contract for Mobil in Nigeria.
